Currently, the Chilton Club is embarking on a multi-year Preservation and Restoration Project. The 152 Commonwealth Foundation is actively soliciting contributions to fund this major undertaking.
Since 2018, the 152 Commonwealth Foundation has approved grants to the Chilton Club for the following maintenance and restoration projects:
A. Replacement of back door for improved safety, security, and weatherproofing
B. Installation of bronze plaque on Commonwealth Avenue with information about the historic buildings of the Chilton Club
C. Replacement of copper gutters and sections of the roof at the rear of the building
D. Replacement of blue awning at Dartmouth Street entrance
E. Repair of fire escapes
F. Creation of computer drawings and a “building envelope survey” that will serve as a guide for future maintenance and restoration
G. Front steps and handrail
H. Structural engineering assessment of the carport
I. Installation of Roof Safety Railings
J. Repair and painting of all ironwork including fire escapes
K. EIFS repair and application
